Marc Jacobs has always been known to take his runway show attendees into another world. Marc Jacobs is also known for somehow making the most obscene things completely high fashion and editorial ready. For his Fall/Winter 2012 collection, Marc has seemed to take us to a world that seems to be inspired by a Alice In Wonderland/The Wizard Of Oz/Hocus Pocus hybrid. With a creepy white disintegrating backdrop that looks like something of some witch-cast movie and accessories such as vibrant colorful and gigantic Mad Hatter-looking hats and giant buckle shoes resembling those of a witch, Marc Jacobs has given a perfect Halloween collection. Following the trend of this season by exaggerating the body, such as in the hips, shoulders, and chest, it’s come as no surprise why Marc chose to create these gigantic hats and dresses. While the collection as a whole may resemble some army of high-fashion skinny witches, when the pieces are pulled apart, many of the pieces end up looking actually quite amazing. I’m not sure if I’d be willing to spend the expected high prices for those colorful hats but they are sure something to dream over. After this showing of creativity, it’s safe to say that we can now expect just about anything from Marc. Check out my personal favorite pieces after the jump!
